Springing into Spring

We’re ready to make way for spring!  The changing of the season marks the beginning of spring weddings – the perfect opportunity to use colors that symbolize the return of life to plants and trees.

To help in the planning of the big day we’ve focused on a few flower choices that’ll  go great with your spring wedding!

daisies

When deciding on floral arrangements for the centerpieces and bouquets the first flower type to consider are daisies.  With petals that are often white it gives you the ability to match with a variety of other colors and textures.

lilacs

Lilacs are most often a shade of light purple.  Lilacs often have multiple stems and are a popular choice because of their sweet smell and beautiful petals.

Lastly, we’ve chosen orchids – a large and diverse family of flowers.  Many times the colors of orchids are a light pastel and vary in length allowing them to have many uses.

The changing of the seasons brings the reappearance of bright, beautiful plantlife across the Coral House grounds with blue skies overhead.

Inside the Coral House, lively, rich spring colors and pastels grace our many rooms.  We are looking forward to our Easter Brunch on Sunday, April 5th!  Brunch and dinner seatings along with fun activities for the whole family [including an appearance by the Easter Bunny] will be taking place from late morning into the afternoon!

Fall Wedding Trends

With the start of fall right around the corner, there is no better time to explore some of the amazing trends set to make a mark on the season ahead.  From bouquets to the bride’s groom, we have the low down on our favorite colors and looks for an October wedding.

 Harvest Hues

Orange is no longer a color simply reminiscent of Halloween. Finding inspiration in an autumn palette can bring a natural, warmth to your wedding ceremony. Tan, burgundy and mustard are great alternatives to more traditional hues.  A flower arrangement that includes rustic plum and berry tones will accent the rest of your décor without looking overdone. Sunflowers are a perfect seasonal favorite.

Forest Frenzy

Speaking of rustic, did we mention that wood is an incredible way to create a wedding that screams comfortable and chic? That’s right, this fall the great outdoors is making a major statement when it comes to weddings. From cake-stands to table settings, the beauty of including wood accents is that they almost always result in a bit of creative, individuality. If a pastoral theme doesn’t fit in with the décor you had in mind, consider discussing outdoor photo opportunities with your photographer. The fall setting of trees, leaves and (hopefully sunshine) will speak for itself.

Goodbye to Black

While you can never go wrong with a classic black tuxedo, less conventional menswear is coming out front and center this fall. Whether it’s an alternative hue like gray or a different material entirely-think tweed-this season, change is a great thing. A retro take on menswear can bring a cozy feel to any fall wedding ceremony, and will allow you to play with color themes in a much bigger way.
